Hello
During the first 3 weeks of September 2023, we wish to attend some festivals in Tuscany area. Any help with dates & places. A wine festival, or 2, would be great - historic pageant, small town fairs or any suggestions for local flavour, will be appreciated.
Thank you!

We happened upon the cheese festival in Pienza a few years ago. So much fun.

It's probably too early for definitive dates for some events but here are a couple:

The "Visit Tuscany" site should be helpful. Check it now and then as the year progresses for new entries.
More festivals and wine events.

you'll love them. bring cash euros, we bought a necklace wine holder and roamed around eating, drinking and being
merry". we attended the festa dell'uva (wine festival) on lake garda at bardolino. since we were staying in venice we double booked a room in bardolino that was right on the lake and down a breezeway to the festival. no worries about leaving early and driving, left next day.
we also saw a palio horse race in florence. it was crazy, fun and crowded. be prepared for the crowds but enjoy the wine and food.
if you will be in florence, check this out. we saw them on a rickshaw tour but weren't in use then but learned the history.

Thank you so much fir these helpful links & ideas! I will check them all out.
In 2019, we planned to go to Montescudaio, in S.W. Tuscany, to a wine festival. We checked the dates on line, ahead of time & booked accommodation for 5 nights. But, the wine festival occurred the week before, we arrived! Darn! The website was not up to date! However, we did go to couscous festival in San Vito Lo Capo, Campo, Sicily, & that was fantastic - we bought tickets and saw chefs visit mpete for their best couscous food. So delicious! And, there was a free music festival on the beach, as well. So, we are up fir more festivals, this time, in September 2023. Thank you again - any more ideas appreciated. Lyn
