Does anyone have any information on what is open and closed during the Festa della republica? Having trouble figuring out how to plan the day. We are in Rome a very limited time, and while joining in on the holiday sounds nice, I dont want to lose a day not taking any site in....
any info much appreciated

There may be a parade and fireworks, but that's about it.

Oh good to know...It seemed like the museums/sites might have altered hours and that shops may be closed down...
