Festa del Redentore - Where to see Fireworks - Where to eat?

We will be in Venice for the celebration. Any suggestions of where to watch the fireworks, where to eat, what to do, what not-to-do that day?

We just got back from Venice last night. We had a blast. No issues with eating however we did eat twice in Lido at "Parco delle Rose". Just walk down the main road from the water-bus, it's on the left side a couple short blocks past the grocery store (just next to the arcade). Lido is SO RELAXING, wide streets, plenty of food, music, spritz, etc., The Parco delle Rose is a large garden setting. Both meals we had were great and about 2/3rds price of Venice proper.

Fixed price menu at 21 Euro = bread, salad, lasagna, whole fish (sole), and massive desert cakes (several options to choose from on each course). We had a liter and a half of house wine, a soda, some sparkling water and, two fixed price meals plus a cutlet and fries for the wee one, and anti-pasta dish (we did not need). If memory serves it was 92 euro for everything.

First night we ate it was about 60, but ala carte salad (good salad - enough for 3), Pasta dish, a pizza and a cutlet / fries meal with water and a bottle of white.

Really nice service.
