Ferry tickets in Italy

We are traveling to the Amalfi coast in two weeks, and I’m wondering about ferry tickets. We plan to take three ferries. One from Salerno to Amalfi, one from Sorrento to Capri, and the last from Capri to Naples. No car involved. Is this something I should book before we go, or something I should do once there? Also, what if weather cancels a ferry? Can I get a refund if I schedule beforehand? Thanks for any help or suggestions!

.... Also, what if weather cancels a ferry?..... That is why you wait and buy your ticket prior to boarding. There is no advantage to purchasing on-line.

Hello bhaas8287,

You can compare here for fares: https://www.ferryhopper.com/en/
But it appears most/all of the routes right now are being run by TravelMar here: https://www.travelmar.it/en/index
Prices look to be around 5-15e depending on distance.

As for weather the banner on the website reads "Travel today is cancelled due to rough sea conditions" so, yes.

From the website:

Should I book the ferry in advance? If you are traveling during the
months of July and August and on weekend, it is advisable to
pre-purchase your tickets.

Sounds fun, have a great time,
