Have an upcoming trip in early October. We plan on spending a day in Bellagio and have dinner there but are concerned about being able to get a ferry back to our home base in Lenno about 9-10PM. It's confusing on the Navigazione website. Anyone had experience?
Hello Carol,
According to the ticketing website:
https://www.navigazionelaghi.it/en/tickets-and-timetables-lake-como/
and the schedule website:
https://comolake.today/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Colico_Como_2023.pdf

The last ferries I see from Bellagio to Lenno run at 19:05 and maybe 19.20 and anything in 7:00pm hour is not nearly late enough for dinner in Italy. You could have a large lunch and a spritz in Bellagio but that's as much as I would be comfortable with.
This schedule appears valid until November 5th so it shouldn't change in October.
Have a great trip, Lake Como is beautiful,

Thank you! After I posted this I found out the answer and it confirms what you say. I appreciate your input!
NP carol,
It is always an issue I have with day tripping and using public transportation. Often you can't stay as late as you like or you worry too much about catching the last train/bus/ferry too much to really enjoy your time. But in the case of the ferry it's even more important because a cab isn't going to be a fallback. ;)
Be warned the ferry docks in Bellagio are much more complicated and numerous than than the simple ferry docks of smaller towns around the lake. October is probably better but September last year was pretty crazy at the docks with conflicting information and people not sure what line they were standing in.
Have a great trip, the lake is beautiful,
