Staying a few days in Sorrento this June and wondering if there are evening/night ferry service from Positano back to Sorrento? Website seems to just show current shortened winter schedule. Has anyone used this ferry route this past summer? Were there late departures back to Sorrento? Thank you.

I believe that even in high season these ferries do not run after dark. June is already quite high season, which means that "the last ferry of the day" is likely to be hard to get onto. Positano does not have as big a ferry port as does Sorrento, so I doubt that they can use the really big ferries on that run. Just friendly advice.
I will add that when we were in Sorrento at the end of may, every day we went to the Circumvesuviana station after breakfast, the line for the SITA bus to Positano was already longer than would fit on one 59-passenger bus. Rick's book suggests that people doing both Amalfi and Positano on one day from Sorrento should see Positano first, because in the late afternoon, the bus originating in Amalfi can be so full that it fails to make its stop in Positano. (No personal experience, we hired a car and driver.)

The ferry schedule you are seeing is for the current April 1-October 31 2018 season. Ferrys do not run on the Amalfi Coast at other times.
