Ferry Naples-Lipari

I am considering an overnite ferry from Napoli to Lipari. Siremar web site shows a "cabin" for two that looks like it would work.
I have no ferry experience. Is this a good idea? I would appreciate any advice.

It depends on how well you sleep on ferries. I don't, so I would fly from Napoli to Catania and take the train or bus to Milazzo and the ferry from there to Lipari, even though it's more cumbersome.

EDIT: Rome2Rio.com shows a ferry that takes six hours from Napoli to Lipari, don't know if it's a night ferry but that would be my first choice - it would be faster than flying.

I usually sleep well on overnight ferries, which seem to be less noisy than trains, as long as I have a cabin. On the ferry from Napoli to Palermo, I almost didn't wake up in time to get off. They were making announcements in the corridor, but do set your own alarm clock. On my test date in April, the overnight ferry schedule looks comfortable, departing around 20:00 and arriving 9:40 a.m. Plan to check in early for the ferry.
