Has any of you ever done this....how long does it take and where in Greece does the ferry dock? We seen a 7nt cruise for 2 out of Venice for $1,832. to the Kotor, Corfu, Athens, Mykonos and Argostoli. Since the times on shore are short I got the brain storm of maybe getting to Greece ourselves and island hop for those days......would this be worth it?

Here's a the main website for finding routes between Italy and Greece. It looks like Venice to Patras is 33 hours.
Leave at noon on a Saturday or Sunday, get in at 9:00 p.m. the following night.

It depends on which island group you want to see. I would check flights to Athens and ferry to the Cycladic islands from there.
