Ferry from Varenna to San Giovanni?

Hi everyone!
We will be coming to the Varenna train station from Peschiera del Garda. Our accomodations are located in San Giovanni, just a short walk away from the ferry station there. I'm having trouble figuring out if the ferry from Varenna stops in San Giovanni, or if it just stops in Bellagio (and then we would have to figure out how to reach San Giovanni from there...). The Lake Como navigation website also has not been very clear. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I'm having trouble finding much information on this!

Currently only the winter timetable is available and San Giovanni is not a stop contemplated by the Lenno-Como boat service or any of the boat services. The closest stop is Bellagio. If that changes with the summer service I don’t know.

From Bellagio to San Giovanni, you could take a taxi. I’ve seen taxi cabs at the Bellagio ferry stop, but that was in July so I don’t know about the availability off season. There is also a bus (bus no. C30) which goes from Bellagio to San Giovanni. Of course you could walk, but it’s a couple of kilometers so at least 30 min. Another alternative could be to take the train to Como, instead of Varenna, and rent a car in Como. A car may or may not be a better idea depending on your itinerary. Actually if you decide to rent a car, I would rent it also for Lake Garda, where a car would be helpful to visit certain parts of the lake.

Does your lodging personnel not have a suggestion on how to get there?
