Ferry from Varenna to Como in the evening?

We'll be spending a few days in Lake Como in early June, staying in Como town. We plan to take the passenger ferry from Como to Bellagio, and then later from Bellagio to Varenna. I was hoping to have dinner in Varenna and then head back to Como in the evening, but in looking at the ferry schedules, it appears that the last ferry leaves Varenna just after 7:00 PM. I know that as of right now, the schedules on the official website only go through May 26, but I'm not sure that the updated schedules will have options to leave Varenna at or after 9:00 PM. Does anyone know if there is a way to get from Varenna to Como at night?

Also, does anyone know when the summer schedules for the ferry might be posted?

There is a train that departs Varenna at 20:35, arriving Como S. Giovanni 1 he 47 minutes later.

The train after that (21:35) takes 3+ hours to reach Como so not a good option

Note that whichever train you choose you will need to change trains at Monza, so it’s actually two separate trains.

Is there a reason you want to stay in Como? The mid-lake area (Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio) is nicer, in my opinion.
