Ferry from Sorrento to Positano

When arrriving in Sorrento from Rome, I'd like to take a ferry to Positano rather then a bus. Is this possible and what is the best way to get from the train station to the ferry? Taxi? Thank you in advance for your help.

There is an EAV bus service from the station to Marina Piccola, third timetable on this link. Try and avoid the routes that go around the houses ie via Sant' Agnello and Piano di Sorrento. Buy your bus tickets (2.50 euro pp) at the newsagent shop at the bottom of the stairs from the train platforms and validate them when you get on the bus. http://www.eavbus.it/export/sites/default/eavbus/orari/ordinarie/pdfOrari/Totale_Orari_New/Meta_-_Massalubrense_xprimaverilex.pdf A taxi could cost about 15 - 20 euro, apart from the fact that taxis are expensive in Sorrento it has to drive around the one-way road system so takes longer than it looks. There are only two sailings a day from Sorrento to Positano at the moment, 10.30and 15.30, so check again near your travel date to see the latest info. http://www.alicost.it/content/?id=6
