Does anyone know the best website to book/explore a ferry from Palermo to Sardinia? There are so many and I don't see a .it site, so not sure which to look at. We'll be getting to Sardinia from Sicily in mid October and it looks as the airport near Taormina may not be in service yet -- had a big fire.

You would be going to Palermo, so why not fly from Palermo?

Afaik Grimaldi Lines is the only ferry company that operates that route, any other site is reselling their tickets.
If "the airport near Taormina", is Catania Fontanarossa I doubt it will take them months to re-open the Terminal A. Or to expand Terminal C, especially because Lufthansa and Ryanair are already flying from "their" Terminal C and I guess other companies wouldn't be happy.

Catania airport should re-open this week. Maybe not.....but by October I would think so.......

Please, CATANIA AIRPORT IS OPEN. Lufthansa and RyanAir are flying in and out Terminal C.
If not this week, a temporary solution for Terminal A will be ready well before October. It was a fire not the Wrath of God.
