Hi folks, we are going to spent few days in the Aeolian Islands next May, but I have been unable to book a trip online. I see it is possible to book at a ticket office in Milazzo. Is there also a line that allows online booking?

HP, my guess is that you might be too early to book anything for May. That said, I see that Liberty Lines operates ferries between Milazzo and Lipari (may be the ONLY company operating on this route but I won't swear to it) and their calendar does extend to next May: a dummy booking takes me all the way to actually booking tickets for a random May date.

I took the ferry from Milazzo to Lipari last May (2018). I was tempted to book my ticket online but when I asked the hotel staff in Milazzo, I was told that I could buy the ticket the day before, or the same day of travel.
Since I was traveling from Siracusa, I bought my ticket at the ferry dock office the day before, and then took the ferry the following morning.
You can certainly buy your tickets online, but not this far in advance. Here’s the website: Liberty Lines.it
