We will be in Italy in the last half of September 2013 and would like to take a ferry across the Adriatic to visit Split for a few days. We cannot seem to find one that runs after September first. can you give us any information. We will be visiting Pescara.

There are September ferries to Split from Ancona, a 1.0-1.5 hour train ride north of Pescara. Blue Line (www.blueline-ferries.com) runs daily except Sunday and Jadrolinija (www.jadrolinija.hr) runs 3 times per week. There may also be catamaran service from Ancona, but I don't recall what company provides it.
