Rick's guidebook to Italy lists hydrofoil service between Naples and Sorrento, but I can't find any schedules online. Apparently, some of the ferries are no longer running. We are traveling in May. Anyone have any updated info on the ferries and how to find a schedule?
Judy, here's a link to one schedule. http://www.alilauro.it/ It's in Italian. You want the Sorrento-Beverello run. You'll need to take a taxi or bus from the train station to the Beverello docks in Naples.
I do see current schedules posted at http://www.alilauro.it/orari-e-tariffe?route_group_id=3 and there are other ferry companies, too. Our standard advice is just to show up (preferably early in the day) and take the next boar departing. Hydrofoils can be particularly affected by weather, not running when winds are strong, so don't get too attached to the published schedules.
The "Alibus" bus service can be used between the train station (Piazza Garibaldi) and the port (Piazza Municipio).

Thanks, all, for the info! I also stumbled onto a page for Navigazione Libera Del Golfo that had a schedule.
