ferries to Venice from Italian ports?

I know there are ferries between Venice and severak Croatian and Greek ports on the Aegean Sea, but there don't seem to be ferries between Venice and any Italian coastal cities such as Ancona or Rimini. Is anyone aware of any?

From the searches I have done, I don't see any...I thought maybe one of the ferries from Venice made a port stop on the way to Greece, but apparently not. I suppose most would find the Trains faster and more efficient.

I see no ferries between Venice and the Croation ports. However, there seems to be one ferry run that goes to Corfu and then onto several Greek and Aegean ports. No ferries shown from Venice to Ancona or Rimini.

If you don't get an answer on this page, I suggest you phone a travel agent as soon as you arrive in Venice and ask about ferries.

I can remember seeing a map of the Adriatic and not seeing many ferry crossings listed.

If you look at this map you will see that there are no ferries shown. http://www.find-croatia.com/ferries-croatia/ferry-map-croatia.html

I looked at several other maps which showed no ferries from Venice to other Italian ports.

thanks all for confirming my suspicion. I have a beautiful map of Italy dated circa mid 1800's that showed several ferry routes. Obviously train travel has rendered them inefficient.
