Ferries to Croatia

Hello, Just trying to determine if ferries from Ancona or Bari sail to Croatia throughout the year or just in the summer months. We'll be in Italy mid May or early June 2014. TIA

I took the ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari on May 31 this year. I think the ferry doesn't run daily until June or July, check the Jadrolinja schedule online to make sure you can get the day you want. I think during your time frame there are only night ferries available; two friends and I had a 3-bed cabin with bathroom, it was fine.

My husband and I went from Bari to Dubrovnik on June 1 this year. That was the 1st day of the year that the ferry went on Saturday night. At that time there were only overnight trips available. Their website is pretty easy to use. I bought our tickets online as soon as they became available to be sure we got a private room. I don't think they run every day even in high season.

Based on 2013 schedules, there will be multiple ferry options in late May/early June. Ancona to Split offers the most options, with Jadrolinija and SNAV running 3-4 times per week and Blue Line running daily except Sunday. Jadrolinija also runs a Bari to Dubrovnik ferry 3 times per week in May and 4 times per week in June. Websites are www.jadrolinija.hr, www.blueline-ferry.com and www.snav.it. All are available in English. All of the above ferries are overnight. When I went from Bari to Dubrovnik a few years ago, I opted for a cabin with shower. The cost wasn't much more, and while the shower was basic (hand held in the WC), it was nice to arrive fresh since I knew it would be midday before I could check into my room.
