I'll be in a group of seven staying in Salerno next month, and we are planning to take the ferry to various places along the Amalfi Coast. Do you think we need to book in advance for day trips, specifically on a Saturday? Has anyone tried to buy onsite and found the ferries were fully booked? Thanks!

I have never found a ferry to be full, and I know that many people to not book in advance, so I would probably say that if you arrive earlier, the better chance to ensure you get on the boat. I would say just get there like 20 minutes early and you should be fine. One time I went on a Saturday with a group of about 30-35 people and bought tickets 10 minutes before and we were fine then too.
