We will be in Positano for 3 nights in mid June and would like to take a ferry from Positano to Salerno and back to see the views of the coast. I'm confused about which ferry schedule to look at. I've seen one where there are several companies on the site and then I read about Alicost and saw other ferry companies as well. Does it make a difference which ferry company we use? I just want to see the best schedule and maybe book ahead so that we can plan itinerary.....thanks for any feedback....

You really don't need to book ahead, just go to the dock and buy your ticket.
