Does anyone have any advise on traveling by ferry to Sardinia from Civitavechia, and then from Sardinia to Sicily (Palermo) then to Lipari, and then to Naples. This is a three week trip in July. Should we rent a car at the beginning and travel with the car for the entire trip, or do we rent cars at each island? Are the overnight ferries the way to go? Any other advise or suggestions?
