Is it worth visiting both facilities, Modena and Maranello ? Any other Italian car museum around that region?
My family includes some real enthusiasts, so we felt it was worthwhile to visit both. You could go to Maranello first, then decide whether or not you need to see any more cars than that. Will you drive or use the museum's shuttle bus? There is also a Lamborghini museum in Sant' Agata Bolognese.
we will be driving as we have rented a car for our 10 day trip.
When we visited, the museum in Modena was geared more toward vintage autos. The Maranello was more about the F1 team.
The Modena museum had a cool vibe with a large, open space that is all white with cars interspersed. The Maranello was more like a store of sorts. It has a F1 trophy room with all the winning racecars that was interesting.
My kids enjoyed both.
My husband enjoyed the Lamborghini factory tour more than the Ferrari museum in Modena. I did not do Ferrari but chose to walk around the town. The Lamborghini tour includes a lot of cars in a building across the street. The highlight was the tour guide giving each twosome a piece of the discarded leather and we watched them emboss them with the Lamborghini logo. He liked both but Lamborghini was his favorite.
