Anyone gone to the factories for a tour? is the general public even allowed to tour the facilities?
Ferrari factory tours can be arranged but, unfortunately, there is one caveat: You have to own a Ferrari and arrange it through either your dealer or a Ferrari club. There is a Ferrari museum in Maranello that is open to the public.....http://www.ferrari.com/English/about_ferrari/Ferrari-Museum/Pages/Home-Museo.aspx
i've got a sweet hotwheels testarossa. i wonder if that counts...
We toured the Ferrari museum after finding out that it is nearly impossible to tour the factory without having your Ferrari dealer (that you purchased the Ferrari from) set it up. The museum was great (all the pretty red cars!). We also enjoyed Maranello although I thought my husband was going to get whiplash from his head spinning around to see all the Ferraris that were driving around. We stayed overnight at the Hotel Planet and I can recommend that hotel.
Hello Matthew, I very recently went to both The Ferrari and Lamborghini Museums. It is true that you must be an owner to arrange a tour of the factories. If you are a motor sports enthusiast, the area around both Maranello and Sant' Agata is full of auto and motorcycle manufacturers and racing shops. The Ferrari museum is located down the street from Fiorano and a few blocks from Ristorante Cavallino. If I can be of any help, pm me.
thanks for the info, john. i've got no plans to be near that area, just was curious for future reference.
