Ferrara

Planning on going to Rome-Florance-Venice--would like to go into Ferrari to the Estes castle. Which town would be easier to travel out of

Since Ferrara is between Bologna and Venice, you could do it as an intermediate stop between Florence and Venice.

Thanks. Thinking of doing a day trip to Cinque Terre from Florence...is this feasible time wise?

It would be a very long day, that would likely be unfulfilling. Train ride would take 2.5-hours one-way, with a train change in LaSpezia, pray there's no strikes. Consider how much time you're riding the train with how much time in the area you get to spend. A day-trip from Florence you're better off visiting Siena, at the very least you get to spend more time exploring rather than riding the rails.

The simple answer is NO. CT is on one side of Italy and Venice is on the other. Might want to look at a map of Italy. And given your other question about the tour company, I am wondering how this would work with your tour.
