Feb 20th soccer match at Olimpico di Roma - best way to get tickets?

My husband and I will be spending a week in Rome with our three teens - ages 13, 15 and 18. The 13 year old is a big soccer fan and I'd love to get tickets to the Lazio-Bari game on Feb 20. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to get tickets at the stadium on the day of the match or if I need to buy in advance? My husband is a little worried about going to an Italian soccer match, as he has heard stories about unruly spectators making it dangerous. Does anyone have personal experience going to a match? Thanks so much!

Going to a soccer match in Europe is no more "dangerous" than going to an NFL match here. In years past I used to be able to purchase tickets at the stadium on the day of the match, but now folks have been reporting that it's no longer possible. You have to purchase tickets before the day of the match, at these outlets scattered throughout Rome:http://tinyurl.com/2exwvwx (select"RM" on the map) Tickets for that match are also for sale at this ticket resale site: http://www.viagogo.com/Sports-Tickets/Soccer/International-soccer/Italian-Premier-League/Lazio-Tickets/E-296211 Olympic Stadium is huge, so the match is unlikely to sell out. Be sure to bring your passport to the match as they will want to check your ID as you enter the stadium.
