FCO to Leonardo express

I will be (barring delays) arriving at FCO at 11:00 pm. It appears the last train to Termini is at 11:30 pm. I have no checked baggage. Will I have time to make that last train? Thanks in advance!

Almost certainly not.
Allow 20-30 minutes minimum for taxiing, de-planing, walking though corridors, buying a ticket etc.

Where will you be arriving from?
Will it be from within or outside the Schengen Area? If from outside will you need to go through immigration (passport control), add 30 minutes at least.
If it is an intercontinental flight, depending on wind it could be +/- 1 hour arriving.

20% chance
If you are not needing to go through immigration passport control then maybe.

I agree with the two previous posters. You could consider using romashuttle.com for a private car service. Their fee is 45€ for a one way trip for door-to-door service. We have used them many times and can highly recommend them. A taxi is another option costing 48€ for door-to-door service.

Buon viaggio,

Have your just prepurchased tickets for the FCO to Rome train, or are the tickets for something else?

If it's for something else, let us know exactly what, so we can help you formulate a plan B, in case you can't make the last Leonardo Express.

Hi, yes the tickets were for the Leonardo express. Two traveling. One poster mentioned romashuttle. I also read about Welcome Pick-ups. Any thoughts?

Regular taxi fare is a fixed rate of 48 euros. To get this rate, be sure to take a white taxi with a "taxi" sign on the roof and a maroon "Roma Capitale" logo on the door.

Check with the taxi. Not all do. And sometimes the credit card machine is "broken." Did you save money by purchasing in advance? For other readers, this is way we always counsel not to purchase train tickets that are dependent on an airline arrival. Maybe you will get lucky and arrive early. And I am sure that those tickets you purchased are pre-validated and only good for a limited time window.

You’re correct! I did indeed learn a lesson and I so appreciate everyone responding so promptly! Wish me luck - my son and I leave the US for Rome on Sunday!

Last train leaves at 11:23PM.

You will be taking some other form of transport.

Good luck

No, we did not and got a taxi instead. Cost was more than the taxi driver said but all was good in the end!

What do you mean by "Cost was more than the taxi driver said but all was good in the end!"? It's a fixed fare.

I know it's a fixed rate of 48€ but is there a higher rate for after midnite rides?

There is a night rate. I thought it was 60 euro. Where are our Rome residents?

what I meant by more than taxi driver said is exactly that, he told us 50 euro and then asked for 10 more at the destination. we were tired and didn't have the energy or language skills to argue so like I said all ok in the end.
