I have 3 hours to wait for my traveling companion, we are both arriving from the US into Terminal 3. I have been reading the suggestions about the "meeting point" pillars in terminal 3, I just wanted to check and see if anyone has recently used this with all the construction going on.

As of June 2018, the pillar (actually a squat square column) is still there. It's off the to the RIGHT as you come out of baggage claim/customs, through opaque glass sliding doors, into the main airport corridor.
