I've a 2-1/2 hr. layover in FCO. We will probably have lunch while waiting for our flight. Any recommendations? Thanks.

You are basically stuck with the airport since it would be impossible to go into Rome for lunch. It is either the airport or the Hilton that is next to the airport.

They have quite a few places to eat up in an area an escalator to a level above and open to the main terminal concourses. We had two layovers at FCO last fall and had good lunches both times. Don't recall the names though but better food than we expected. The whole terminal is nice, modern, clean.

If your connecting flight departs from Terminal 1, there are now lots of great food places to choose from. Some of those just past security looked good. I decided to eat at one near my gate but unfortunately don't recall the name. It was reasonable and good.
