we will be arriving at FCO from the US at 8:25 am. how much time do i need to allow before a flight to sicily? we may have checked luggage...not sure yet. there is a flight at 10:00 am to catania. do i have a chance of making that or do i need to book the 12:55 pm?

Hi Carolyn, I don't really know the answer to your question, but I will say that FCO was one of the most confusing airports I've ever been in. I flew in and needed to get a train, and I walked around for a while looking for any kind of signage that would get me where I needed to go. I couldn't even find the exit through customs until I wandered into an unmarked area that sort of looked like an exit. I also looked for any kind of tourist information booth, and couldn't find one anywhere. If you allow extra time, you'll get off your flight from the US and find your gate to your connecting flight directly adjacent. If you don't, your flight will be delayed and you'll end up running through the airport in a panic. Don't start your vacation by giving yourself stress before you've even arrived at your destination. Give yourself time to relax, stretch your legs, get a bite of non-airline food, and not have to worry. That's just my opinion. Enjoy!
