Favorite Pizza/Restaurants in Naples?

I know Naples gets seriously mixed reviews around here, but the pizza is usually praised. We're using Naples as a base for 4 nights, and looking for recommendations on pizza places and other restaurants. Any suggestions? We arrive in exactly 2 weeks, not that I'm excited or anything...

We liked Sorbillo, and also a tiny place that made deep-fried pizza that you eat standing in the street outside. The pizza is folded and handed to you wrapped in paper. I’ll try to come up with the name for you.

We loved our week staying in Naples and I bet you will, too.

We were there in 2019 and our favorite place was Tandem Ragu on Via Sedile di Porto. My wife and I were travelling with our 5 kids ranging from 4-16 at the time and it was everyone's favorite place in Naples.

I think we also had a good, cheap meal at Pizzeria Trattoria Antica Capri in the Spanish Quarter.

Incidentally, we never did the street pizza Napoli seems to be famous for but enjoyed our meals regardless.

I was in Naples in Nov 2018. Pizza was good everywhere, but one in particular was excelent, or maybe I was just in a very good mood. I remember exatly the place, but not the name, so I went on google, and the google is showing pics of August 2020, and the plce is abandoned. It was on the 256 Via dei Tribunali.

By the way, I loved Naples.

Only spent one brief night in Naples in August, but La Lazzarra was recommended for pizza and it was delicious.

We spent two enjoyable days in Napoli in early September. Thought Sorbillo was slightly over-rated and not worth the crowded hassle. Antica Pizzaria Brandi near our Chiaja Hotel de Carme was fun and outstanding. We would definitely recommend this classic restaurant.

Be prepared for really soft, doughy like crust. It’s typically folded up and eaten like a soft taco. I personally don’t like my crust soft, I like it crispy.

I think that the fried pizza place was Antica Pizza Fritta da Esterina Sorbillo. We were just walking down the Via Toledo and thought it smelled good.
