Favorite neighborhood in Rome? Help me choose a hotel!

Hi. I'm having trouble settling on a hotel for our 5 night stay next May. I have commitment issues!
I like the Albergo Cesari, Relais Teatro Argentina, Hotel Portoghesi and the Relais Palazzo Taverna. All have amazing location, just different. I'd love to hear from folks who may have stated at any of these hotels. Thanks

Is this a forum or an echo chamber?

I don't know the specific hotels but based on their location these are my comments.
Cesari has the best location. Right near the Parliament and the Prime Minister's Palace (Palazzo Chigi). That area is the most central and the street is quiet and closed to traffic (only pedestrians).
Torre Argentina would be the last of my choice simply because largo di Rorre Argentina is too busy with a lot of buses and traffic. It's convenient for buses however. The other two are more or less in the same area near Piazza Navona. That is ok too.

Hi Ellen,

I stayed at the Albergo Cesari in 2012 and really enjoyed it. Historic hotel in a central location to all the classic Rome sites. The Pantheon is just around the corner, Trevi Fountain is a five minute walk. Even walking to the Colisseum and the Forum is an easy jaunt. Quiet rooms. great morning breakfast and evening bar on the rooftop and friendly staff. Would stay there again the next time I visit.

Thanks Darrell. I've booked a room there- I'm looking forward to the rooftop garden! Ellen
