Does anyone have a favorite Italian/English dictionary (besides the RS phrasebook)? I'm traveling to Puglia later this month and want to take one with me. I know I can use online translators but looking for a hard copy or digital book to supplement those tools.
I have a couple, and I traveled with the Collins dictionary. But it's worth going to a real bookstore and seeing a few in person. Print size, bindings, ease of use, are all subjective.
My faithful friend since high school. I still have it. The absolute best, still today. One of the few with the International Phonetic Alphabet symbols, which we learn in Italian schools to pronounce foreign words.
They have more recent updated versions for a bit more money, but I would go for a used old one. All new words in the Italian dictionary are mostly English words anyhow.
Thanks, Stan and Roberto. I just ordered one.
