We are traveling to Rome for 4 nights in June. This will be our first visit. There will be four adults. What are some of your favorite hotels or areas to stay in. We would like to be close to attractions and dining. Hoping to be around$300/ night or less. Thank you for your time and sharing your wisdom!
We prefer the centro storico-anywhere near Pantheon, Piazza Navonna, Campo de’Fiori
From there you can walk most anywhere in Rome

There are so many. Take a look at the FONTANALLA BORGHESE. It's been spiffed up since I visited but reviews seem to be very good and location is excellent and a little tucked away..
I stayed in the Basilio 55 in October 2022 and really liked it. It’s about half a block north of Piazza Barberini. Easy walking distance to the historical center and there’s metro, bus, and taxi stand on the piazza. The bed I had was very comfortable.
