Favorite agriturismi near piensa/montalcino

Looking for 5 nights in southern Tuscany next June. Will pick up a car in Orvieto for the 5 nights at the agriturismo and then heading to Florence for 2 nights afterwards.

2 adults and 8 and 12 year old

Looking for pool, AC, breakfast included.

Btw how early do these places book up for June?

Thanks as always.

Creatolie!!! Nothing like it. We were married here three years ago. Everything was perfect. No pool, but so many things to do, you won't miss it. Other families were there, so your children would like that. Isabella's activities and hospitality are amazing.

Thanks for the replies

Cretaiole only does week long stays

The others mentioned are single room accommodations and we are looking for a 2 bedroom

Looking for an Agriturismo is frankly a little overwhelming. It does seem like everyplace Ive looked would be wonderful for the most part.

Expanding my search to montepulciano and near siena as well

I agree with the recommendations of Cretaiole! Absolutely great. Check them out

Cretaiole is not for everyone. They have certain restrictions they explain on their website. They also don't publicize prices. Which means you have to contact them first and wait for a quote. Their prices are not for every budget. Their method of conducting business is not my favorite, but clearly it works for them.

The OP doesn't mention budget. Knowing what someone is willing to spend per night goes a long way towards eliciting more appropriate recommendations. Without knowing someone's budget, one can throw darts at a map of Tuscany. No one has time for guessing games.

Pools can be pretty to look at, especially when they're sparkling clean and the views are spectacular. However, unless you visit a hot spring location, like Bagno Vignoni, pools in Italy are almost never heated. The pool water can be freezing cold, even in June. So be prepared.

I would recommend Agriturismo Casanova without hesitation! My husband and I stayed there in June 2013 for four nights. While they did not have air conditioning, we never needed it. It is simply lovely and the hostess is charming. Breakfast was included and there is a pool. If you have a chance, take advantage of a meal cooked on the premises. We are in the planning stages of a return visit in June 2019. The website indicates that a bed can be added to any room, so they should be able to accommodate your needs. I hope you find what you need!

My family stayed at Agriturismo Cerreto and loved it. My girls were ages 9 and 11 when we went. We stayed for 3 nights. They have a pool and also some bikes you can use. I'm not sure about AC- we were there in August and I don't remember being hot :) Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. We drove from Praiano to Pienza ( 3 nights) then on to Florence. We dropped the car off at a very convenient location that was just outside of Florence and across the street from a rail system that took us the the FLorence train station. We didn't stay in Florence but trained to Venice for 3 nights.

Hi Anoikis,
We will be staying at the Agriturismo Lafonte located in Pienza this coming April. They do have a pool, AC & breakfast. There is also a restaurant and a brewery on the property. We are only staying 4 nights not 7.

Check out their website....

Good Luck!
