Fastest way to get from Milan Airport to Levanto

I am traveling from New York to Milan, and would like to know what the best and fastest way to get to Levanto (which is outside of Cinque Terre) and where I have been put up to stay. Also, I would like to know if that is a good location for me to spend 3 days, while spending most of my time in Cinque Terre?

Thank you!!

I presume we are talking Milan Malpensa airport (Milan has 3 airports, but Malpensa is the only one with flights to North America).

You would take a Regional train (called Malpensa Express) from Malpensa Airport to Milano Centrale station, then a train from Milano Centrale to Levanto. Some trains from Milano C. To Levanto require no changes, others (depending on the time of departure) may require a change (for example at Genova (Genoa).

Check your options here:
www.trenitalia.com
Enter from: MALPENSA AEROPORTO T1
to: LEVANTO
You can buy tickets at the Malpensa station when you arrive. I wouldn’t pre purchase tickets online because you don’t know if your flight will land on time.

To begin with, Levanto is a good location to stay as it's a nice town with a great beach. It's only 4 - 5 minutes by train from Monterosso (the most northerly town of the Cinque Terre) so it's easy to get back & forth. It's about a 10 minute walk from the town to the train station in Levanto, but it's not difficult.

The "best and fastest way* to get to Levanto is by train. You'll first have to get from MXP to Milano Centrale via the Malpensa Express and then connect to the train(s) to Levanto. It would help to know what time your flight arrives at MXP? One of the quickest and easiest trips will be a departure from the airport at 12:43, arriving Levanto at 16:58 (time 4H:15M, 1 change at Milano Centrale). There are numerous other solutions and you can have a look at those on the Trenitalia website.
