i see you can take a boat from sorrento to naples. would anyone suggest this with luggage? family of four

Hi Al,
I'm guessing the train will be the fastest (approx 45 min). I didn't look into the boat but I think the train will be more convenient.

The train service would be more frequest, less expensive and depart/arrive in the city area, not the port.

Fast ferry from Sorrento to Naples is very easy, luggage is not a problem. We did it with 2 bike cases and 2 pieces of personal luggage.
you do need to decide if you need the train after the boat..cuz the dock is not within walkable distance to the train station, it will involve a taxi.
Boat ride is very easy, no changing trains, no big stairs in train stations. But, you are at the dock in Naples when you arrive. There will be taxis available.
It's a great way to get around, and to be casual about travel, and enjoy the great views of the shoreline.
