I am having trouble trying to find the fastest transpo route from LINARES Airport to Rio MAGGIore Cinque Terre. If someone can tell me specific stations to query, that would be great. I've been told that we should take the taxi to the train station from the airport? Suggestions?
I assume you're referring to Linate airport in Milan? Could you clarify?
If that's the case, take a taxi from LIN to Milano Centrale and the train to Riomaggiore.
You have confused me. I had never heard of "Linares Airport", so I looked it up. It is in Chile!
See Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linares_Airport
I am sure you don't mean that, can you be more precise where you actually mean?
And Riomaggiore is one word, It is the southernmost of the Cinque Terre. the station is also called Riomaggiore.
Once you know the correct name of your starting location, you can look up trains from there to Riomaggiore on the Trenitalia website: http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en
Good guess Ken, maybe the OP has actually booked a flight to Linares Airport by mistake?
Thanks all. Forgive my auto text corrections. The Linate airport was correct.
Chris,
That seemed like the most logical conclusion.
imurk,
Thanks for the clarification. I assume you're flying inbound to Linate on one of the budget airlines.
As I noted above, Taxi to Milano Centrale and then train to Riomaggiore. There are buses but Taxi will be the easiest option. You can buy tickets either at the staffed ticket office, which is on ground level of the station, or from a Kiosk. There are Kiosks next to the ticket office as well as at track level, which is two floors up. That route may have one or more train changes, depending on which departure you choose. You can see all the solutions on Trenitalia.com.
That reminds me of the story of the passenger wanting to go to Oakland, CA and accidentally boarding a plane to Auckland, NZ.
