What is the fastest way (short of a personal courier!) to get a small package from California to our hotel in Venice? Actually, I'll have about 10 days until I'll need it, so maybe there's a cheaper way than just the fastest. But it must be reliable and insurable. Any ideas? Dave

Dave, There is FedEx, UPS, and DHL here in Italy. Those would be the best options in terms of getting it to you within a fixed time, with tracking and so forth. As for the US Postal Service, I've found that things that people send me (letters at least) from the States usually get to me within 4 or 5 days. Stuff that I mail them takes 2-3 weeks, most of the time. If I need something to get home (to the States) quickly and securely, I send it FedEx. Good luck.
