Fast train from Florence to Naples. The online RR, says the fast train from Florence to Naples takes about 3 hours. If you did this, is it true and tell me about it. If you took the Naples City Walk suggested by Rick Steves, tell me about it, how long it took and did you eat the Pizza suggested. If you walked from the RR station to the Archeology Museum, tell me about it. Thanks

Howard, I can tell you about the train. Journey time is 2:51 for several of the Frecciarossa trains departing each day. The train travels at about 155MPH (a bit faster than MARTA). Non-stop Florence to Rome and then non-stop from Rome to Napoli. As for pizza, a certain type called Neapolitan-style pizza was invented in Napoli. Characteristics are: 1) the crust has to be very thin and crusty, 2) it must not take more than 3 minutes to be baked, 3) it uses cheese from water buffalos (buffalo mozzarella). Water buffalos have been local to Campania for a very long time.
