Fast Track at FCO

Has anyone used the Fast Track service for security with departures on U.S. carriers (specifically Delta)? The new QPass indicates that it cannot be used for departing flights on U.S. carriers, but I cannot find anything on the website that indicates one way or the other for Fast Track.

"Can the QPass service be used for any flight?
At the moment, the QPass service is being tested and has not yet been extended to flights operated by US (Delta, American Airlines, United Airlines) and Israeli airlines (El Al, Israir Airlines, Arkia Israeli)."

Thank you!

I had a 9:30 flight out of FCO to Boston on ITA back in November. We were at the airport at 6:30 and after checking in with ITA went through security with virtually no wait - this was Terminal 1.

Delta check in is in Terminal 3 - so can't speak to that. But FCO is a very efficient, high-tech operation.

Thank you. Good to know FCO is efficient. I have only flown into Rome, a long time ago. However, I have flown out of Venice twice and still have nightmares as it was so stressful and chaotic.

Yes, you can use FastTrack at Terminal 3 at FCO. It's just a type of skip-the-line option, while QPass is the newer, faster screening option in use at Terminal 1, which the TSA has not yet cleared for entry to the U.S. as you noticed.

I am not sure it will help you as much as it might in U.S. airports, because yes, FCO is very efficient and quick. Terminal 1 security is incredible, but even Terminal 3 moves well. It doesn't cost much and it might be of some use, so if it's important to you, there are no drawbacks other than the small charge.

I'd be interested to hearing your Terminal 3 experience for my upcoming year of friends and family visitors. I have been departing from Terminal 1 so I'm not as current with the crowds and processes at Terminal 3.
