Any recommendations for farmhouses near Montepulciano? Or simply stay in the town of Montepulciano?
Will you have a car? Your previous thread mentioned using a bike. But bear in mind the cooler temps and shortened daylight hours in late Nov.
We loved Poggio Etrusco https://www.poggio-etrusco.com/. Owned by an American couple, great old buildings with character and comfort, close enough to to town to pop in for dinner, but a removed, country experience.
Thanks for these ideas.
To answer the first question. Will have a car - will skip biking on this trip.
Have settled on the Montepulciano area. Thanks to everyone for the help here.
Hello - I just returned from Montepulciano last month and have been traveling there regularly for the past few years. Great town...one of my favorites in Italy. I would strongly suggest Fonte Martino B&B (www.fontemartino.com). It's owned by 2 Americans who transformed an old farmhouse into a beautiful B&B. This was my third time staying with them.
Have a wonderful time! (I am already planning my return!)
