Can someone suggest great famous restaurants in Venice or just small great local restaurants? I am also trying to find one that I saw with great views of San Marco square.

If you use Google Earth, you can walk around St. Mark’s square and see if you find your view. You can also use google maps to see the various restaurants in the square. There are several. They are all very expensive, due to the location. There are a couple that have orchestras that play in the evening. It’s quite a magical scene, but you can enjoy them just strolling through the square.

What do you mean with famous? In Venice there are several restaurants with a Michelin star or they are at least mentioned:

So seems at least someone thinks worth to visit :-)
