Hello, We are traveling at the end of March for about 2 weeks (Family of 4 - with Kids 6 and 11 yrs) arriving in Rome. Would like to get recommendations for apartments/hotels that are recommended for Families. Would like to stay at about $200/night. Should we be looking for a triple? or quad? Booking 2 separate rooms blows the budget in most cases. Would like to stay close to the city center or a central location. We were thinking of 4 days in Rome, 5 in Florence, and the remainder in Venice. Thanks!
We loved this 2 bedroom apartment in Rome, right off of Campo de Fiori-- great price, perfect location: https://www.sleepinitaly.com/en/show-balestrari-campo_dei_fiori-roma/appartam.php?id_appartam=272 In Venice, Ca' Foscolo is a lovely apartment hotel, right between the Rialto bridge and San Marco: http://www.mareahotels.com/cafoscolo/ I'd go back to both of these in a heartbeat!
Another option in Rome http://www.palazzo-olivia.it. They have one and two bedroom apartments located between Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori. Elevator, WIF (small extra cost), and quiet. In Venice we went through http://www.vrbo.com for one we are renting in December. While we haven't stayed there yet, once I identified an apartment, I was able to get reviews from some of the people who post here to make me feel secure in my selection.
