We are beginning to plan a trip of close to a month in the north (sort of ) of Italy. It is an anniversary(50!) trip and we hope to just relax, eat, drink, watch people, and see art. (And walk off all the food we plan to eat. ) Our son and DIL will join us for a week. They want us to choose.
We definitely want to be in Padua for a while and do trips from there. Want to do one of the lakes - though for some weird reason I feel a bit trapped up on a lake.. (End of the road thing and stuck in a fjord-like place) But which lake and where?
Piedmont has been suggested - but where?
At the end we will join a friend for a revisit to Florence, perhaps.
Where would you go?
Thanks and more thanks.
Linda
