FAL line from Bari to Matera

I would like to take the regional train from Bari to Matera. It must leave after 12 noon because I will be coming from Sorrento on public transport. ( Sorrento -Naples - Bari) I am having difficulty understanding the FAL schedule. Is there a direct train ? If not, do I get off in Altemura and get a connecting bus? If so, which train should I get? Is the connecting bus to Matera right there or do I have to walk to a bus station or stop? This will be on a Thursday in May. Thank you for helping me. Gerri
