Traveling in Puglia in October. We find we have two days extra! .
We are staying in Bari, Monopoli, Lecce and Matera . We have day trips planned form all these places except Matera. so staying several nights in each place but traveling out on day trips.
We have allowed 2 days to explore Bari itself
1 1/2 days to explore Matera
1 day to explore Monopoli
3 days to explore Lecce
Where would you spend the other two days ?
Thank you
Depending on what you like to do, renting e-bikes in either Locorotondo or Alberobello would be something different from the rest of your locations & staying in that locale.
Are you public transportation or renting a car?
Barletta is very pleasant. Or you could add on time for any if your planned stops. Traveling between placed always takes several hours. We enjoy a slower pace to explore where we’re staying more in depth.
We had several days in Puglia this past November, and plan to return again this fall. Our favorite stay was in Martina Franca, and you could also easily visit Alberobello from there as a daytrip.
Please add the complete itinerary and include transport.
Will you have a car?
Maybe spend those days inland, in a rural masseria/farm....or small town, as Jean suggests.
