We will be in Positano Oct 11-14. The day we travel from Rome to Positano will be spent on the train and Pompeii. The next day we will be going on a boat tour around Capri with a few hours on the island itself. Do you have suggestions for our last full day before we head back to Rome the next day?! I thought about renting scooters but I researched it and decided I didn't want to die on the trip ;) Thank you in advance!

I only have two full days on the Amalfi coast and part of another. I booked a private tour with Sorrento Silver Star - Car Service. We are already staying in Atrani which is a very short walk to Amalfi, so we are going to explore Amalfi on our own. But the tour is 8-9 hrs long, with a private car taking us to Praiano, Conca Di Marini, Furore, Sorrento and Positano. I'm not one who likes to drop a lot of money on private tours (in fact, this will be our first) but the logistics of trying to figure out the bus and see all the places was a little overwhelming. If it was me and hubby on our own, I'd prob do it...but my mom is coming as well and it's just easier to do a tour. I'd looked at doing a tour to Paestum, but that's another full day, so on day 2, we are going to bus up to Ravello and do the hike back down to Atrani, then maybe revisit one of the little towns that caught our interest the day before.
Maybe some of those suggestions will help. We will be doing the tour in about 3 weeks, so if I remember, and if you are interested, I'll let you know how it goes. The car service has lots of great reviews on Trip Advisor.

Hi, Can I ask what boat tour you are doing and with which company and approx. cost? We would also like to do a boat tour while in Positano and are looking for options? Did you book this online?
Like Nicole P suggested a private driving tour would be good also ( Hey Nicole ) We are doing one of Amalfi and Ravello about 6 hours so not a full day which I like as we will get back in time for a little relaxing before dinner. Enjoy your trip!! :)
