I've heard of many bad experiences on the Ho Ho buses in Rome----can anyone recommend one that is good. We want to just do a "no hop" when we first come to Rome to get an overview, and then from there for the next 4 days to walk it, or metro since we are centrally located.

I can't think of any kind of "bad experience" anyone could have on a HO/HO bus, but we used it when last in Rome because we arrived exhausted. It was ideal and not expensive.
