What is your experience flying ITA from Chicago to Rome?
Don't know about Chicago but they are ok from JFK to Rome. Not super-duper special, but good enough.
I flew with them in 2024 from Rome to Albania. Although it wasn’t a long flight both the checkin and the onboard experiences were excellent. My original flight booked many months in advance was canceled a few months in advance (schedule rearrangement) There were several other flights that day so it was a non issue. I will be flying with them again this summer.
I flew ITA non-stop from Los Angeles to Rome, and return trip was non-stop Rome to Boston. Flight to Rome was an extra-legroom seat in economy on an A350, and it was fine; return was premium economy on an older A330 and it was one of the better flights I've experienced.
I've flown them (SFO--->Rome) 2 times in the last 3 years, and I'm flying them again in 3 weeks. They get the job done, no frills or special service. I would continue to fly them because I am a terrible flier and it's a direct flight to Rome.
