Experience with flying ITA from SFO to Rome?

Hoping this isn't too uninteresting a question -- but would anyone care to comment on their experience flying ITA Airlines Premium Economy in terms of comfort and reliability? Thank you!

Those very few people I know who have taken that flight had a positive experience. I don’t know if they flew premium economy or regular economy. ITA started that route only in 2024 I think, so not too many in this forum might have flown on it yet. I also have a good friend of mine who took the same from LAX in 2024. He was very pleased with his experience. ITA operates their newest aircrafts (A350 and A330, depending on time of year) for their California routes, so at least the planes will be good.

I've flown ITA 2 times SFO-FCO in the last couple years and I am doing the same flight again in March. We fly regular economy. I would give up the endless wine, treats, and better service that I've had on Air France for a direct flight to Rome any day of the year. The planes are nice, clean, and comfortable and they get the job done. The premium economy did look a lot more comfortable as I was walking past to the back of the plane. :) Enjoy your trip!

I flew on ITA nonstop LAX to FCO back in November 2023 and it was fine - an extra legroom seat on a new A350. Coming back was FCO to Boston in Premium Economy - that was a great experience, even on an older A330 which still had the Alitalia configuration. Would not hesitate flying ITA again.
