I know there are a lot of different factors. I am planning a trip and have too many 3 night stops I would rather have 5 night stops. Going from lake Como to Venice and have 3nights in Como leave 8 nights for remainder
Can’t decide if I should visit 2 cities or three more. If I should stay in Venice or visit.
Verona, Vicenza, or Bologna and Ferrara both ending in Venice.
Thanks
Vicenza can be a day trip from either Venice or Verona. I was there 2 nights but there was a festival going on so something to do at night.
So 4 in Venice and 4 in Verona? Daytrips to Bologna and Ferrarra from Verona
I’ve been to all of your choices except Ferrara. Of your choices, I would go to Verona for 3-4 nights and Venice for 4-5 nights. Vicenza (or Padova) could be a day trip from either or a brief stop between locations.
In Verona, I enjoyed an in-town bike trip and a cooking class with Veronality. Hotel Aurora is in a nice location at Piazza Erbe.
I have stayed in Vicenza and Verona twice and prefer Verona. Verona gives you more options for day tripping (Lake Garda and all the towns along the lake) Mantova, Vicenza, Padua or just enjoying Verona once the day trippers rub Juliet's right breast. there is so much history in Verona and cafe Vero became our favorite coffee/pastry shop very quickly. The most difficult part of traveling in Italy is deciding where to go and where to stay. Grab a couple of books or dvd's from your local library and maybe that can help.
